The academic community, local institutions, and theatre practitioners working in Italian juvenile prisons discuss on theatre’s role and significance within prisons. In addition to drawing a map of the presence of Shakespearean theatre in the various institutions, the conference brings together voices from different fields to explore the existing space for creativity in juvenile detention centres and to envision possible future scenarios.
