A series of lectures on the topic of “Applied Shakespeare” was organised at the University of Milan’s Department of Languages, Literatures, Cultures and Mediations as part of Prof. Mariacristina Cavecchi’s "British Theatre" course. Five guest speakers delved into different facets of “Applied Shakespeare” providing the students with much food for thought. The course ended with a presentation by the students, who creatively rewrote Titania’s monologue in A Midsummer Night’s Dream.
