As part of the activities for the PRIN 2022 project Applied Shakespeare: Developing New Educational Models for Transversal Competences and Life-Skills, a musical and choral workshop, conducted by Maestro Andrea Gargiulo, has been organized under the Scientific Direction of Professors Mariacristina Petillo and Pierpaolo Martino. The workshop is open to students interested in participating.
The meetings are held at Palazzo Lingue (4th floor) in Via Garruba, at the University of Bari Aldo Moro. A vertical piano, essential for choral activities, is available at the venue. No prior knowledge of vocal techniques and musical or instrumental skills are required. Participation is open to all students and will focus on developing a short programme of vocal repertoire inspired by Shakespeare's The Tempest.
Workshop Schedule: 13 December 2024, 10 January 2025, 24 January 2025, 7 February 2025, 21 February 2025, 7 March 2025, 21 March 2025, 11 April 2025, 9 May 2025, 16 May 2025. All sessions will take place from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM. The workshop will culminate in a final performance on 22 May 2025, featuring the studied repertoire.
